Waste Sawdust Pellets Application

Waste Sawdust Pellets for Boiler and Power Plant Fuel

A biomass fuel project that converts waste sawdust, wood powder and fine wood residues into dense molded pellets for industrial boilers, biomass burners and coal-fired power plant co-firing.

Pellets Overview

Turning Sawmill Dust Into Stable Industrial Fuel

Sawdust is easy to collect from sawmills, wood processing workshops, furniture factories and forestry residue yards, but loose sawdust has low bulk density and high transport cost. Pelletizing improves storage, transport and combustion stability, making it practical for boiler rooms and power plant fuel systems.

Raw Material

Waste sawdust may contain uneven particle size, high moisture, sand, metal pieces or bark impurities. The line must protect the pellet mill while keeping feeding stable.

Processing Goal

The project forms loose biomass into uniform pellets with controlled moisture, density and size, suitable for automated conveying, storage and combustion.

Fuel Application

Finished pellets can be used in biomass boilers, hot air furnaces, steam systems and coal-fired power plant co-firing applications where solid biomass fuel is accepted.

Technical Focus

Fuel Quality Targets for Boiler and Power Plant Use

  • Uniform pellet diameter for stable conveying and combustion feeding.
  • Controlled moisture to reduce smoke, improve ignition and protect combustion efficiency.
  • Low fines ratio after cooling and screening for cleaner storage and transport.
  • Consistent bulk density to support boiler room storage and automatic feeding.
  • Dust collection points at drying, screening and packing areas for better workshop operation.
